Welcome to the romantic chateau Štekl Hotel, placed amidst the beautiful and historically rich scenery of South Bohemia, close to the chateau of Hluboká, one of the most frequently visited chateaux in the Czech Republic.
The last rebuilding of the chateau in the years 1841-1871 started along with the history of the main building. The original building, called Stöckl was built in the same style, and it adjoined the kennels and horse stables, and served as the administrative building of the chateau of Hluboká. Until 1989 Stöckl served as a residential building.
Nowadays the Štekl Hotel is exceptional in many a respect: its position, history and the sensitive combination of professional services with a friendly home atmosphere. It becomes an ideal place of stay both for families with children and individual clients, and for corporate clients and organizing company events.
Additional Information
It offers 5 apartments, 13 royal and 26 chateau rooms furnished in the same style as the interior of the chateau of Hluboká. The last finishing touch of the atmosphere of the rooms is made by the replicas of Dutch masters.
None of the 44 rooms is like the others. Thanks to its size and architectonic solution, each of them has its specific atmosphere. All the rooms are equipped with bath, WC, TV, satellite TV, a hi-fi tower, telephone with direct dialling, mini-bar and a safe. There are altogether 14 parking places in the hotel garage and another 20 places in the outer car park, at the hotel guests’ disposal.
Guests who like sports will appreciate the Štekl Wellness, equipped with a Finnish sauna, a roofed swimming pool with a waterfall and counter-current, solarium, whirlpool, a gym equipped above the common standard, with quality Technogym tools. It is possible to order classic massages, but also the traditional Thai massages, which are provided for the Štekl Wellness by the Tawan Thai massages centre, and where the relaxation care is carried out by Thai masseuses.
The elegant ambient of the “Pánů z Růže” hotel restaurant is represented by the offer of both the international and Czech cuisines and, of course, a wide selection of Czech and foreign wines. The newly opened English Club will certainly give you a pleasant surprise by its cosy atmosphere and elegance.
To organize family celebrations, wedding receptions and business meetings, you can rent the Regentský Hall. The Rytířský/Knights’ or Královský/Royal Salons are suitable for a closed society for up to 15 persons. The newly open Orangerie, which can seat altogether from 50 to 150 persons, connected with a spacey terrace of the hotel, is an original place for holding wedding receptions, buffets or banquets in the top season, if the weather is favourable.
